Preamble

Preamble In accordance with the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (DPA) and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we would like to use this document to inform our visitors in a transparent manner about our policy on the collection and use of personal data of visitors to our website. This privacy policy was updated on 17 March 2022 and is the current version. We reserve the right to make changes at any time

Cookies and other technologies

The Buypro platform and its component sites, online services, interactive applications and emails may use cookies and other audience tracking technologies, such as pixel tags, HTML tags and variables in the URLs. These technologies allow us to better understand user behaviour and tell us which parts of our websites are most visited. This anonymous data allows us to improve the quality of our interfaces and published content. For example, if a topic generates more than the average audience, we can identify it and invest in developing it, either as a new advisory practice or by continuing to write content on that topic. We track this click-through data to determine interest in certain topics and measure the effectiveness of our customer communications. If you prefer not to be tracked in this way, you should not click on any text or graphic links in emails. Pixel tags allow us to send emails in a format that customers can read and to know whether messages have been opened. We may use this information to reduce or delete messages sent to customers. We treat the data collected by cookies and other technologies as non-personal data, and if non-personal data is combined with personal data, we treat the combined information as personal data. We also use cookies and other technologies to remember your personal data when you use a website, online services and applications. In this case, our goal is to make your visit more convenient and personal. For marketing or transactional emails, we use "destination URLs" linked to content on our platform. When customers or experts click on one of these URLs, they are transferred to another web server before arriving at the landing page of our website.

Our website has a newsletter service to communicate our commercial activities, news and/or novelties to those who wish to receive them. For this service we only ask for an e-mail address. We use the Klavyio tool which adheres to terms of service, terms of use, acceptable use policy and a strict privacy policy. It is possible to unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by clicking on the link at the bottom of the newsletter or by contacting the agency directly. For organisational purposes, we use a task automation tool called Zapier which also adheres to a Terms of Service, Terms of Use, Acceptable Use Policy and a strict Privacy Policy.

We may retain personal data for the period during which claims may be made against us and because we are obliged to do so by law or by legitimate business interests (e.g. for evidential or documentation purposes). We would like to point out that the data will remain visible in our records even after deletion, as these records must also be able to provide information about past legal relationships.
